    Over last three years, china has grown more quickly than other any country, and it brings cost and environmental problems. One of the biggest problems is water pollution. The 2012 Environmental Condition found that “57.3% of the groundwater in 198 cities in 2012 was bad or extremely bad.

While more than 30% of the country’s major rivers were polluted or seriously polluted.” This pollution has been linked to a rising of cancer rate, areas where cancer rates are high among people who live aside waterways. All in all, the water pollution causes a lot of negative effects to our citizen’s health.

Air Pollution in Northern China

Nowadays, northern China is facing many environmental problems, but air pollution is the one which needs to be resolved immediately. For instance, in January, the most serious month, the haze weather can even last up to 25 days. One of the main reasons is industrial exhaust. According to USATODAY.COM, “air pollution from burning coal in north China, defined as above the Huai River, with a population of around 500 million people, was 55% higher than in the south.” The second reason is the toxic fume emission of cars has increased recently because the population in Beijing is higher as well as the number of cars, for Beijing is the most popular city among youngsters. In conclusion, air pollution has affected people’s life in many negative aspects. I hope it can be resolved quickly.

Oil Spills in Saudi Arabia

The kingdom of Saudi Arabia is classified as the top country to produce oil and sells it to the world. The unique shipping method causes a lot of environmental problems in the Arab Gulf. According  to albawaba.com, “the damage done to the environment by that war was dwarfed by the catastrophic effects of oil spilled during the Persian Gulf War: on January 23, 1991, Iraq began intentionally pumping crude oil into the Gulf from the Sea Island supertanker terminal 10 miles off the Kuwaiti coast”.  The Saudi government funded companies have to response to these problems and they have to clean the gulf from oils spills.

Kuwait feels pinch of ‘climate change’

    One of the most serious problems in Kuwait is the rise of temperature. As Arabtimeonline.com reported, “The temperature rise in Kuwait since 1957 is between 1.5 degrees centigrade and 2 degrees centigrade, which is higher than the global average.”. Also Kuwait is facing lack of rainfall. In addition, it will lead to a lot of negative effects such as less farming product and cracked earth spots because of the lack of rainfall. According to Arabtimesonline.com,“The average rainfall per year in Kuwait used to be 125 mm.” However, year by year Kuwait’s climate is worsing because of the lack of rainfall and dryness.

San Diego is Running out of Water

  One of the most serious problems in San Diego is water scarcity. Although the city currently has enough clean water for the community’s basic needs, like drinking, washing, and watering crops, the supply exceeds the demand as the population grows. One of the main causes of the water

shortage is the lack of rain. According to the UCSD Center for Environmental Economics, “75% of the state's rainfall is north of Sacramento, while 75% of the state's water demand lives south of Sacramento.” Another cause of the problem is San Diego’s water supplies. The Colorado River, one of San Diego’s main water sources, is expected to run out of water. UC San Diego News Center reports that the Colorado River reservoir is expected to go dry in the next 20 years if global warming continues and people continue to use a lot of water. In sum, water scarcity is a serious problem San Diego is facing, and it will have negative effects on the community.
